L-tryptophan is white or slightly yellow powder, slightly soluble in water.

L-tryptophan premix is yellow or brown with the form of granule or powder.


L-tryptophan is one of essential amino acids. It can be totally digested and transformed into active substances such as nicotinamide and 5-HT by metabolism.

Nutritional functions: L-tryptophan can increase the content of tryptophan and improve the formation of amino acids in feed. It will make the feed protein much more valuable and effective. After the requirements of lysine and methionine are satisfied, tryptophan will be the most important restrictive amino acid. Exogenous tryptophan can help decreasing the usage of protein, saving the cost and recipe space.

Non-nutritional functions: Exogenous tryptophan can take the effects as active matters. It can help increasing feed intake, decreasing hyperirritability, and improving sleeping, milking and immunity.

Propositional Usage:

L-tryptophan can be used in all animal species, and its dosage is according to animal nutrition requirement, feed nutrition content and ideal protein model.
